AC5 was proud to present this exceptional exhibit, which featuring sixteen artists representing the Pinole Artisans. The exhibit, entitled “Art Expressions of Pinole”, combined the unique talents of local artists including: Dionisio Ceballos, Deanna R. Carone, Rose Cowperthwaite, Lorena Fink, Jean Fisk, William Lake, Dianne Lake, Joan Landis, Semion Mirkin, Ira Nelken, Heidi Rand, Joe Shaw, Gorden Stone, Michael Resso, Vickie Resso, and Lisa Yount. 

Pinole Artisans is perhaps the youngest visual arts group in Contra Costa County. It was developed in 2004 by four local artists and is now an established nonprofit art group in Pinole.  They are an impressive group of dynamic individuals comprising teachers, RNs, attorneys, welders, stay-at-home moms and writers, each unique in their skills, artwork and inspiration that they openly share with one another and their community. 

The Honorable Supervisor Gayle Uilkema dedicated “Art Expressions from Pinole,” during the Board of Supervisors’ meeting on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. in the County Administration Building at 651 Pine Street,Board Chambers, Martinez, CA.
