Featuring
Architectural Designs by Arthur Stern
AC5 began 2007 with an exhibition of extraordinary
works: "Masters of Distinction," featuring architectural designs by Arthur
Stern, a prominent artist whose design style is reminiscent of the world-renowned
architect Frank Lloyd Wright. The exhibit included works of realistic muralist
Bill Weber, a.k.a. El Gallo, plein air impressionist paintings of Stephen
Sanfilippo, surreal/abstract works of Bruno Aguirre, realistic paintings of
Nadine Merrill Persson, surrealism of Tim DeSoto and photo-realistic pencil
drawings by Peggy Magovern.
These exciting
works graced the halls of the County
Administration Building
located at 651 Pine Street
in Martinez. The public spaces include the Foyer, Foyer
Hallway, and Board of Supervisors Chambers. The Honorable Supervisor Mary
Piepho dedicated the first 2007 art passages
exhibition for District 3 during the Board of Supervisors' meeting on Tuesday,
January 23, 2007.
